Joan was a wonderful lady, we will never forget those chocolate birthday cakes!

JOAN MCDONALD Joan McDonald Today the heavens welcomed home a special angel, Joan Eleanor "Henderson" Macdonald. Joan was born August 7, 1932 in Regina, Saskatchewan. She married in 1954 and had 3 children. She moved to the U.S. in 1956. She was best known as "Mrs. Henderson," the school secretary of University Place Elementary. She took an early retirement and traveled. She returned to University Place and finished her career at the district office. Joan loved to dance, and taught many years at the Sumner Senior Center. Joan and her husband were active in the Good Sam's Club "Daffodil Ramblers" and camped every month with their group. Joan is survived by her husband Ken Macdonald, son Rob (Julie) Henderson, daughter Cheryl Henderson, and son Darren Henderson, stepdaughters Janet Orozeo and Bev Harvill, 14 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 22nd, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunrise Baptist Church, Puyallup, WA.
